We just handed over one of our stunning wedding albums to an exceptionally happy bride and groom and were left feeling very happy and proud.
This is for us a truly rewarding experience as photographers. It's why we love our work. Apart from loving what we do in taking photos, we love to see the faces of a couple when we hand them their album.
Our particular style of photography known as photojournalism (candid photography) is relatively new in Australia. It's quite different from what many photographers are offering and though it's become a trend word, only a handful really understand what it's all about. It's about capturing a story and capturing emotions without making the couple pose.
We capture our couples as they are, not setting things up, and as well we make sure not to keep them or their families away from the festivities, as a wedding is meant to be enjoyed and not staged. Today once again we heard such wonderful feedback from our happy couple, on how we were so inconspicuous "like two little ninjas" and that many of their guests are still talking about their very different photographers. "You guys are the talk of the town" As well, when they saw the album they were bought to tears with the way we captured their day and how beautiful, timeless and emotive the images were.
We have a very different and unique product and one that is really about capturing emotions and feelings. This is a reflection on us as creatives and as people. We are photographers with a passion for our art and for seeing our clients relive their memories time and time again. We are about feelings and connections. When you look for a photographer, ask yourself what is important. If you love to flirt with the camera and are confident being on film, then a good photographer who does traditional posed shots is perfect for you. We loved posed shots too.
If you are not so fond of being photographed, you want to enjoy your wedding and want to put your trust in your photographer to capture your wedding in all its beauty and true emotion, capturing you and your partner as you really are, then a true photojournalist is for you. That's what we do and that's what we love. And we do it with our hearts. We learn to understand you and your needs so that on the day the photographer is one less thing you have to worry about.
We know many people will fall in love with our style, our creativity, and our attention to our clients different needs.
